The ISM Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) is the single most timely economic indicator as it is released on the first of every month. The employment sub-index shows an excellent correlation with the BLS unemployment rate and is a good predictor of what the employment report will likely show when it is released on the first Friday of each month. |
